Tribal Fusion Class 7 Notes

I'm not sure if you can tell, but you have really improved! I see the progression... I hope you can too.

Here are the notes from Thursday. Sorry, they're arriving a day late.

1. A quick run through of the "Heretic" choreography.
2. Warm up, tone, and prep.
3. Shimmies - starting slow with one hip up, then alternating. Double the speed. Then speed up as fast as you can go. Remember to keep knees slightly bent and pelvis neutral.
4. Shimmies in the Jumana points (asterics star).
5. Interior hip circles - going clockwise, starting in the front. Think about pulling each side of the hip inward and to keep the movement smooth.
6. Finishing off the choreography:
1. Enter with snake arms. Add 8 counts of shimmy before starting the Basic Egyptian.
2. Basic Egyptian - 16 counts
3. Egyptian half turns (turning over left shoulder) - 16 counts
4. Torso rotations (4) - 32 counts
5. Arabic, traveling right - 8 counts
6. Reverse figure 8 (mayas) - 8 counts
7. Arabic, traveling left - 8 counts
8. Reverse figure 8 - 8 counts
9. Forward stance, arms extending forward for 4 counts, then draw back for 4 counts - 8 counts
10. Chest locks combo: chest down-up-down, right shoulder forward, then back. Repeat. - 8 counts
11. Torso turn to the right - 8 counts
12. Body wave (one foot in front of the other)- 12 counts
13. Torso turn to the left (to face front) - 4 counts
14. Snake arms with level change - 24 counts
15. Camel Walk - 24 counts
16. Arabic, traveling right - 8 counts
17. Arabic twist - 8 counts
18. Arabic, traveing left - 8 counts
19. Arabic twist - 8 counts
20. Lale, start right, (pivot to face back wall) left, right, (pivot to face front) left - 32 counts
21. Choo Choo Pivot Turn - 32 counts
start first set in the forward direction, then front left corner, then front right corner, then front center again.
22. Slow drawn out pose of the arms - left arm up, right arm down - 8 counts.
23. Vertical Barrel turn - right foot crosses over the left, turn over the left shoulder; right arm and left arm crosses in the back - 8 counts. Turn on count 1, then ease your body in to position for the rest of the counts.
24. Shimmy in place with tiny arm undulations - 16 counts
25. Interior hip circle - 2 counts.
26. Crossover turn - right foot crosses over the left, turn over the left shoulder. Similar to the Vertical Barrel turn except without the placement of the arms.
27. Pose in the "flamenco" stance to finish.
