TFBD May Series: Class 3

Hello Dancers!

Today was more exploratory and showing you that there are just so many options you could play with! Here are the drills we worked on:

  • Undulations (HT, half notes) with Fig. 8 front to back (16 counts per fig8)
  • Undulations with interior hip circles clockwise
  • Undulations with interior hip circle counter clockwise
  • Undulations with exterior hip circle counter clockwise
  • Shimmy with exterior hip circle counter clockwise

    Break 5: Shimmy with exterior hip circle dbL ccw (6 counts) + Step L foot out left w/L hip, half turn over L shoulder, step right w/ R hip, back turn over L shoulder, step L foot w/L hip.

    Partner Improv exercise:
    In your group or with your partner, select 3 poses and figure out how to start facing back and transition to the front in 24 counts. However, this time, work it out so that no one is doing the same movement.


    Next week, we'll focus more on partner/group improv with more choreography practice!
