Bellydance Basics Mar/Apr Class 7 Notes

Hello Ladies!

Class 7. Shimmy, Grapevine, and Hip Twists


1. Review:* Hip Figure 8 Up to Down

2. Shimmy, Grapevine, and TwistsIn place: shimmy standing and then with weight on one leg
Hip twists in place, with weight on one leg, and while traveling
Grapevine traveling left and right


Combos:* Step, Step, Step, Twist – Step right, left, right, touch the left foot and twist the left hip. Step left, right, left, touch the right foot and twist the right hip. Repeat

* Shimmy and Grapevine – Standing shimmy for 4 counts. Grapevine traveling to the left starting with the right foot crossing over the left foot, step the left foot out to the left, step the right foot behind the left, step the left foot out to the left.
